Sausage Party is a 2016 adult computer-animated comedy film directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon and written by Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg from a story by Rogen, Goldberg, and Jonah Hill. It stars the voices of Rogen, Hill, Kristen Wiig, Anders Holm, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. A parody of Disney and Pixar films, the film centers on an anthropomorphic sausage named Frank living in a supermarket, who discovers the truth about his existence and goes on a journey with his friends to escape their fate while also facing his nemesis, a psychopathic douche who wants to kill him and his friends.

This film is known for being the first CG-animated R-Rated film in cinema. While Strider did say he found the film a bit cringy at times, he personally likes the film nevertheless for its symbolic representation of a melting pot on foreign cultures. He mentioned how there was a deleted scene where the anthropomorphic foods end up in live-action Hollywood through a portal after learning they're just cartoons and witness in horror Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, and Edward Norton (their voice actors) eating sausages and bagels. He said he wished for there to be a sequel to this movie where the foods are in the real world.

  • Nitrogen Studios was an animation company that helped produce this film. It is known for being the same company that helped out with CG Thomas the Tank Engine from 2008 to 2012. Nitrogen Studios was infamous for the alleged mistreatment of the animators, in which they were forced to work overtime without pay and were blacklisted when they protested.
